Thrawn has finally tracked Bat Squadron back to their base and is coming in with an attack force. Bat Squadron must call on all their allies in an attempt to hold out. Will they be able to?

The war begins to intensify and more forces are brought into the action against the growing rebellion and the empire. Friends are turned foes and the battles only get bloodier and longer.

Unbeknowst to either the Republic or the Separatists, Chancellor Palpatine is creating Observatories across the galaxy as a contingency plan in the event of his downfall. Tasked with protecting the creation of one of these Observatories, the 306th Legion must hold off a Separatist ambush. While the clones wonder what they are safeguarding, the Separatists are not eager to find out what is lurking deep withing the safeguarded construct.

The 306th Legion faces heavy fire as they near a Separatist stronghold on the Core World of Coruscant. As the 306th edges nearer to the stronghold, one of the platoons tasked with extracting Senator Dod from the stronghold gets shot down behind enemy lines. Now separated from the rest of their battalion and without contact, what is left of the platoon must overcome many obstacles to regroup.
