They first came as individuals, people caught up in the Nuclear blast of Craitown. But people soon realised that the infected numbers were increasing. Cities were swarmed by mobs of what the few remaining survivors dubbed as 'Zombies'. The virus messed with their brains, driving them insane with a crazy instinct to kill. Survivors fled, taking refuge in defended shelters, sticking in groups. But nothing can keep the infected back. No defences. No weapons. No running. With numbers steadily rising and the living population dying out, the world is still no closer to finding a cure. And now people are starting to wonder, is this really the end of the world? Cross doesn't remember much, if anything at all... He doesn't remember how he got into a white void... He doesn't remember why he felt like he was dying... He doesn't even know his own name... He just calls himself Cross as it feels right and he wears a lot of X's... He talks with himself sometimes, but nothing answers back... During the night, or when he falls asleep, he only sees someone that looked like a dark mass of goo with tentacles... They call to him, calling him Cross... Shouting insults at him... Telling him that he's a worthless scum... Sometimes things get physical... Then he wakes up... Scared, nervous, sad and... Angry... He just doesn't remember why... He doesn't remember what he just dreamed of... If it could be called a dream...
