Ashley Martin has been through more grief than a person experiences in their entire life and carries baggage that no kid should ever entail. Tyler Miller is the school's scandalous bad boy who acts on impulse, blinded rage and will single-handedly destroy anybody who stands in his way. Then all of a sudden, they're thrown together and despite their destructive past, they're forced to overcome their differences. It's time for Ashley to stop running away from his death glares, blank stares and that spine-chilling scowl that reminds her just how little he cares. Driven by a whirlwind of secrets, a class assignment and midnight walks into the past, things should start working out. But then fate kicks in; hard-hitting and soul-crushing. It's a fight-or-flight situation, a reincarnation of her past, a chance for him to right the wrongs he did by her. A second chance is like giving someone an extra bullet for their gun after they missed you the first time round. So here's Tyler's gun. Here's Ashley's heart. And here's to their second chance, however hopeless it may seem.

Music has powers. You just didn't know... Elena Murray thought she was just a little girl, who, like every other person, liked music as a source of entertainment. Little did she know that she was more than just a girl, and music was more than entertainment. It's power. It's her life. Now, faced with a lot of responsibilities, she must serve. As a servant. A soldier. An heir... "If you give me the keys to unlock Cherry's chords, I'll give myself to you." "I don't need to give you Cherry's chords to have you. I own you already." "You don't own me. No one owns me. Not even Mother." "Oh, she doesn't own you. At all. But this," he said moving closer to me and placing his hands on my waist, "This owns you." "The body's not mine. It's feelings do not concern me. I'm a servant, a soldier and I'll do as I am told. Cherry's chords. Now." I pushed him backwards, making him to hit the shelf behind him. "Feisty one. Just like old times. I see why the prince has an eye for you. But he can't get you. He won't. I will." "I have nothing to do with Lucas. I'm here for the chords, Edward. The chords!" As fast as lightning, he was close to me already, his familiar cologne was pleasing to me, as usual. But I can't feel that now. The Queen has given an order and it must be executed. Even if I end up killing him. Edward. My heart. "One condition, Elle. Spend the night with me."
