*NOTE* I am in the process of editing and updating this story before I start the sequel - chapters with titles have been edited and finished, chapters with numbers have not. I'm moving through it as fast as I can but please bare this in mind when reading as if you go further than the parts I've edited, you may find things don't make as much sense! Iyla Punkett is a normal 13 year old girl. Well, as normal as you can be living above a shop with your uncle, struggling to make ends meet and being a social outcast at school. Soon after her 13th birthday, Iyla starts to realise she may not be as normal as she thinks. Strange things are happening around her and, as her uncle reveals a secret from her past, Iyla's life and the lives of those closest to her are about to change forever.

In a world where people with magic live hidden away in a forest, 15-year-old Destan must save his tribe from a war with the non-magical people, after accidentally having started it himself in the first place. --- The world has split in two; magicals living in packs, or tribes, doing what they can to survive. Non-magicals, or Inops, in complete ignorance of their powerful counterparts. Destan doesn't fit in with either society. Though his younger sister Julia lives with the Inops and does not have any powers, Destan can bend the atoms of any object to his will. His tribe, however, has made him an outcast for a horrible mistake he made when he was just a little boy. Lonely and desperate, Destan makes another mistake a decade later. By showing himself to Julia and her adoptive family of Inops, he makes himself a target - and by doing so, he makes his tribe a target. The costs pile up higher and higher as the quarrel between the two sides turns into a full-blown war. Can Destan make up for what he's done, before both factions turn on him? "They call him The Storm for a reason. He's Jackson Storm, you should be running in the other direction." I shook my head. "I'm going to catch that arrogant bastard. I'm going to catch 'The Storm'." *** Jackson Storm. If you were to look up that name you wouldn't find anything. At least, not anything incriminating. The police have been after him for years with no luck of ever finding any evidence to put this guy away. He's a professional at what he does, and he's a conman. Jackson Storm can be anybody you want him to be. He can become a person you'd trust your life with, or a person who can make your life a living hell on earth. He's sexy. He's confident. He's charismatic. This is the guy you'd bring home to introduce to your parents. Unfortunately for anyone who's not a friend to him and who just so happens to be filthy rich, he's your worst nightmare. When he gets it in his head to con one of the richest families in the world out of millions of dollars, he's all too eager to get the job done. And he knows his best bet at successfully pulling off the con is the daughter of that family. Crystal Carver is the picture of perfect. Her father's a big hotshot CEO, and her mother is a highly successful movie actress and model, but her parents have darker pasts than she's aware. Crystal herself is a model and portrayed as a real-life Barbie Doll. Always wearing the latest styles, always wearing the most expensive jewelry. She's Daddy's little princess. No one dares to tell this girl no to anything. Unfortunately for her, Jackson sees her as his ticket to stealing millions from her and her family. Charming her won't be a problem, and he's actually looking forward to it. This job would be just like any other he's pulled off except for the added bonus of seducing one of the 'hottest' girls in the world according to all the magazines. But the greatest conman of all makes his biggest mistake... He judged the book by its cover, and he ended up conning the wrong girl...

Glass magic, the weakest of magic, the most fragile, the least effective. Those with it always end up with aide or aid class and a relief type. They were the ones to deal with the aftermath of war, helping those that had already severed their kingdom and those that had yet to come of age. They never face actual war, never risking their life as it was not a life worth risking. It was hardly a life. Now, there are also classes that seem limited to certain standing, take the rogue class for example; they are restricted to support and assassin types. Their sly personalities and abnormal magic perfect for stealing and stealth. Then lead types seem bland, always the same people, warrior class, elemental magic, blah blah blah. Though humans are uncommon within the lead types it's not as if one had heads turning in disbelieve. Uncommon but not rare. Boring really. Everyone's always so restricted with their magic, type, class, and rank, and yet... She exists. A magic so fragile she shouldn't even be allowed in war, a class that doesn't match her personality, and a type that clearly doesn't belong to her. The only thing that seemed to be correct was her rank, F, the lowest. I wonder... Will she thrive with her standing? Or with she burn in the chaos of it? Why don't we find out? (This is a first draft and the plot is a little all over the place)

Five-year-old Kendall Frodell is a genius and has been ever since she was born. The fact that she can and does read high school material, can mentally solve a wide array of equations, and has an incredible memory for trivia could've all easily skipped her from Kindergarten to fifth grade. But Kenny's intelligence (along with her voice) hides behind vague, situation-based index cards and rewritten answers. Things quickly change when she becomes afflicted with peculiar fainting spells-- ones where she walks, writes, and even solves equations while seemingly unconscious. Her erudition is unwillingly revealed, and she's whisked off to an academy for people like her. Very suddenly becoming aware of a whole society of gifted children, school has never been more challenging. An enforced social hierarchy, infamously harsh teachers, blockheaded children-- and the brief disappearances of her classmates only add to everything. In the style of both Ender's Game and the X-Men, The Prodigies is a piece of speculative fiction that will leave you...curious. Highest Ranking: #2 in Science Fiction [©2017-2018. In a world of superheroes, public outcry from the recent tragic death of a teenage vigilante has resulted in the creation of a government-run program to train underage aged superheroes, Chiron Academy. If you're a minor with any sort of superhero aspiration, this stands as an ultimatum: you must participate, regardless of previous experience, training or mentoring. If you don't, you're done. This has seventeen-year-old Wyatt Hatch, a.k.a. Flyerman, a superhero with years of experience, counting the days until his 18th birthday and his inexperienced know-it-all teammates are not helping matters. ------- "This is such bullcrap. Unadulterated bullcrap," seethed Wyatt as he paced back and forth, more out of a desire to move than a conscious choice. "I can't believe we're being forced to be here. Literally the second I turn 18, I'm gone." He and Todd stood on a top of some high rise building Todd had found during a quick search on google maps. Something high enough that they wouldn't be overheard but not too tall. After a few stories, Todd always got nervous. "I mean," Wyatt continued to vent," at least your squad seems cool. You've got the Grey Ghoul's sidekick, for crying out loud. Meanwhile, I'm stuck with the squad that is so by the book, they stopped as we were leaving the campus today to check the dumb Hero's Handbook they gave us to make sure we were leaving correctly. It's called leaving a building. You've been doing it your whole life!" ------- #3 in science fiction 4/5/19! #2 in action 2/15/21 (pronounced 'kai-ron'. I googled it.)
