The best friend, The distant boyfriend, The sisters friend, The brothers friend, The ex best friend, Love isn't always given back the way you gave it. Leaving you with half a heart as the person you gave your half too never gave you their half back. But what if someone else has another half to make yours whole again?

Riley was dealt a bad deck of cards in her life. Her mother passed giving birth to her, and her father blames her for his wife's death. He abuses her non-stop, and there's nothing she can do about it, even if she tried. That's when Spencer comes along. After being paired up for a huge class project, will the mysterious 'bad boy' and the abused girl end up together, or will the abuse become too much to handle? -------- This was a short story I wrote for my creative writing class, and thought I'd share it here!
