"Why do I have to be special, why can't I just be normal, a bystander?" "Ever since you were born you have never had the choice of being normal, you have always been marked as what you are, and it makes you valuable to many and your choices very few."... It was those words that changed my life, I had always been sheltered. Felt that I was never privileged to have a life of my own, due to ridiculous superstitions of others. But if I was honest with myself, I knew I was different. The way the servants would gaze upon me whenever they could but look away when I met their sight. The luminous glow of my skin that never seemed to go away. And with every passing day I stayed on the grounds, I knew that as my body changed and I was to reach the age, everything was going to change for me.

"What's your name, ginger?" He said as he stoked my left cheek. "Don't call me that." I growled, swatting his hand. "But it suits you." He purred. "No It doesn't." I said, coldly. "Yes It does." He countered. "No it doesn't, because you don't know my name, 'Alpha'." I hiss. "Will you tell me your name, ginger?" He pleaded, giving me that doggy eyes. "No" I replied bluntly. "Why is that, ginger?" He asked growling. "Because, mom told me not to talk to strangers, Alpha." I said looking him in the eyes. "And stop calling me 'ginger'." I added. "Oh, really, 'ginger'?" He taunts, snaking his arms around my waist, sending sparks everywhere in my body. "Get your hands off of me now, Alpha, or I will cut your arms and shove it in your ass... Deep." I said, turning to look at his face. His arms were gone in a second. "Good boy, Alpha." I said as I pat his head and walked away. I hear a growl and a 'crack' from him. "Stupid Alphas" I thought, then I ran.

But when the pair unexpectedly meet, everything goes downhill from there. Because Sam Cahill is the school's bad boy, known for skipping classes and getting into trouble. Will that be enough to convince her that he's the one guy worth breaking the rules for? [[Word count: 300,000 - 350,000 words]] [[2015 Watty Winner]] All Rights Reserved- ©nikki20038

Being a marine was all Jules wanted to be, despite her parents reservations. However, being caught in an explosion in Afghanistan, Jules is sent home with no memory of her time there or the love she found overseas. Now, two years later, Julia is working in the local library, with an overprotective mother who would do anything to keep her from learning the truth. But will a chance encounter with someone from her past make Julia remember who she truly is -and can she ever be the same person again? Just a few notes: 1. My knowledge of the Armed Forces is limited so expect mistakes although I shall try my best to make everything as accurate as possible. 2. I have recently posted the prequel to this book called 'Seven Years'. 3.This book is dedicated to all the men and women who put themselves in harms way to serve their country, wherever they may be; past and present.
