Peggy did not want a boy she wanted a girl so she referred to Peter as Lily. Peter looked like a girl this plays in his favor because gay was a big no no.

What happens if Percy was a shield prodigy. He was smart just loses attention in things he knows. His mum died when he was six. Then when he was depressed and at a class trip at the aquarium, he saw a red haired woman running from men. He helped the women. But what he didn't know was the lady followed him. Watched the boy get beaten by a fat man.

The Avengers are curious about the boy Tony keeps talking about. They easily mistook the boy as Tony's son, based on how Tony talks about him. No matter how often Tony corrects them, it still stings a bit every time he admits that Peter isn't his son. Tony introduces Peter, to the Avengers.
