This is a snowbarry plot. The story is based on the last season(however Barry never vanished in the future. So he raises his children). Nora isn't the only one that travels back in time to meet her parents. A second speedster appears in Central City a couple of months after Nora has settled with her parents, challenging what is meant to be impossible. We know Caitlin Snow doesn't believe in destiny, at least not for her. Every person she's loved has either died or they leave at one time or another. Her heart has been broken too many times and she can't afford to keep picking up the pieces. Her heart is frozen solid. She is meant to be alone. No marriage, no husband, no family. She doesn't get to live the fairytale dream. That dream died along with Ronnie. Cisco has Gypsy. Joe has Cecile. Barry has Iris and now he has Nora. A daughter born out of love. Barry has always loved Iris and Caitlin could never fathomed the idea of someone ever loving her the way Barry loved Iris. Nora symbolized what Caitlin wished she had. Nora was prove that Iris was Barry's destiny and that Caitlin never had a chance. Never had a chance with Barry. She never had and never will. But the future has some many secrets.
