Fiction often introduces us readers or watchers to new worlds, new creatures and mythologies. Vampires or goblins or demons, and their focus on them is intriguing.
However, Heir to the Soul is a story not about any of those creatures, but it's about the soul, hence the name. Heir to the Soul is a story centered on humans and the souls they bear. Whether they inherited those souls, or it's their own.
Heir to the Soul combines a lot of categories in one story. Cosmic action, slice of life, romance, drama, cyberpunk, medieval, etc. The story is a good cocktail.
The story is centered around the Six Kings, who each embody a certain ambition, emotion, or concept, and each is driven by it. The six kings shape the world, and the world shapes them.
The story is deeply personal. emotions are detailed more than anything in the story, more than it's theme or even the world itself. What kind of love? What kind of fear? What kind of hatred? Everything about them is so specific and detailed to a point of personal realisation.
In the end, the story connects to the reader deeply. The story doesn't tell who's right or wrong, it tells from each prespective. The reader can be the judge, or just a watcher.
