Matt spielt in einer Band, trinkt, raucht und lebt jeden Tag so wie er eben kommt. Alex arbeitet gleichzeitig auf dem Bau und in einer Bar, sorgt für seine 5 - Jährige Schweste und steht mitten im Leben. Außerdem ist er schwul. Als Matt und Alex auf einander treffen ist das Leben auf einmal nicht mehr so wie es davor war. Für beide nicht und obwohl alles so einfach sein könnte, ist es das nicht. Once upon a time... A pretty girl named Cinderella lived in a big mansion in the outskirts of the city that surrounded the royal castle. She slept in the dusty attic and cleaned the house for her stepmother and her two stepsisters while her father was travelling through the lands to work. She wanted her hair off and she wore extra tight underclothes to make her chest flatter. The day the invitation to the ball came Cinderella was somewhat glad to hear that she wasn't allowed to accompany her stepsisters. The thought of wearing a bright pink dress and high heels for a whole evening was repulsive. However after the announcement of the gathering being a bride search for the prince Cinderella's interest in staying home alone changed. The prince was a very handsome man and kind and caring. And gay, in addition. Cinderella knew because she once overheard a conversation while she visited her friend at the royal horse stall. So naturally she wanted to win him before he would be unhappy the rest of his life. She wanted to be a boy and he wanted a boy. But without the invitation, a horse and her stepfamily noticing, how could it ever be possible?

A grumpy boy Cinderella and a childish prince-what could possibly go wrong?! Cinder is a young shoemaker who just wants to do his job. The only one to support his irresponsible stepmother and stepsisters, the last thing on his mind is the prince's ball. He'd much rather stay home alone and clean...too bad his fairy godmother has other plans and drags him to the ball against his will! It's love at first sight-for Gem, the prince. Cinder just hopes to never see the obnoxious guy again. Too bad Gem is such a hopeless romantic that he searches the entire country for his mysterious guest...and winds up enlisting Cinder's help as a shoemaker to find the owner of the one shoe he kept from his crush? The pay is good, but for how long can Cinder hide his identity while pretending to help the bratty Gem? And what happens when the two start finding common ground after all? At this rate it won't be long until Cinder is hard pressed for his sanity...

Irgendwann gibt es dann ein Fest im Schloss, wo sie unerlaubterweise hingeht und mit dem Prinzen tanzt. Um 12 Uhr läuft sie weg, verliert ihren Schuh und der Prinz sucht mithilfe des Schuhs nach Cinderella. Luke's Leben ist ein bisschen vergleichbar damit. Na ja, ein paar Dinge unterscheiden sich: 1. Sein Vater lebt noch, ist aber selten zu Hause. 2. Er ist, wenn schon dann, eine Männliche Cinderella. 3. Es ist kein Fest im Schloss, sondern ein Maskenball, veranstaltet von der Schule. Und 4.
