Vianka Océanne never had a normal life, and one summer vacation is no exception. When Vianka and her siblings move in with a grandmother they've never met before, they find that the woman isn't interested in being family - she treats her visitors like slaves, forcing them to do ridiculous and humiliating chores. Vianka longs for an escape from her reality, which Grandmother willingly allows her to have. But the escape might be worse than the burnt porridge Grandmother provided. Worse than even the most brutal beating. Sometimes dreams aren't meant to come true. FROM READERS: This story always guarantees a laugh, perfect grammar, excellent descriptions, and eloquent choice of words. Very elegant. Almost literary in tone. Beautiful writing. Exquisitely written with the perfect amount of description.

Just don't go apeshit with it, and if you do... let's not even go there.

Something happened to Deserae Farren last year. Something that she won't talk about. There's no reason to. She's fine. Fine with living her life vicariously through a novel, through her music, through endless hours of gazing out at the sky, trying to imagine what it would be like to fly away from everything. Or, better yet, to become the sky, to be swallowed up in the blackness and folded into the shimmering stars. But there is a voice gnawing at the back of her mind that won't be drowned out, screaming, pleading incessantly with her to remember. And she can't forget anymore. •*•*•*• "You can't keep hiding." "I can't be found, either."

Maud sometimes thought that life was a hoax. What were the odds that God could find the perfect equation to create life, or that two rocks could collide at just the right angle and speed to spark consciousness. The chance was too slim to be real. But when Evan Reddings came to town, she began to question her beliefs. Because, after all, what were the odds that two people so utterly perfect for one another could meet? If that was possible, then what else? /•\•|•/•\
