Idyllic (adjective) - extremely happy, peaceful, or picturesque. At a surface level, everything seems great in the small and quaint Scottish Highland town of Nessgarde. And in truth, things are actually okay. However, some of Nessgarde's residents aren't so idealistic. Most notably Lexi Pond, a beautiful introvert whose genius-level intellect has ostracized her from most of the community. However, she doesn't mind it too much. She's got her sister, her brother-in-law, and one or two close friends to keep her sane. Lexi's quiet life is soon interrupted, though, when kind and charismatic writer Johan Smithfield moves to town. Said man wants nothing more than to escape the hustle and bustle of city life so he can get in the right headspace for his writing. . .At least that's all he wants until he meets a certain ginger genius. A chance meeting in a bookshop sets off a number of other chance meetings, each one ending the same way - Lexi quickly excusing herself before rushing off. Things transpire and Johan soon finds himself trying to learn more about the woman who seemingly wants nothing to do with him. . .and why most of the town's residents seem to want nothing to do with her.
