Lilly's family are different from other people's. They each have a crystal which controls who they fall in love with. They have two years, from their eighteenth birthday to their twentieth, to find this 'soul mate'. Lilly's big brother Harry died because he didn't find his in time and Lilly is petrified that the same will happen to her so when she finds hers on the first day she is beyond relieved. There's just one small problem. She's a woman. (WARNING: This story is simply the first draft and mostly written by a fourteen/ fifteen-year-old me. It isn't the best!)

She was different. She didn’t fit in with the rest of us with her pale white skin that made her appearance more pronounce and eerily beautiful or those strange mismatched eyes of hers that seemed as if it seen too much. Each time I saw her, she was often alone either sitting on the bench underneath the weeping willow tree reading a book or always around that petite girl who seemed fragile next to her. I don’t know what is it with this particular girl who never once sported a smile but always with that hard expression that intrigued me. Mesmerized with the way she moved stealthily through the halls, I knew this little fascination I had of her was going to get me into serious deep trouble. Forced to interact but not forced to become friends, follow these two as their lives intertwine. Can they keep their newfound friendship from breaking and maybe become more then just friends or will everything fall to pieces? But watch out for the secrets and lies for they won't stick to the shadows for long.
