Luz being herself, does what she can to rid Eda of her curse, putting herself in harms way. She takes on Eda's curse, and will have to learn to struggle with her new found problems, transformations and issues. Many of her friends are unsure of what to do when Luz disappears, yet Amity takes it especially hard. What'll happen to Luz with her new curse? How will their relationship develop? Luz Noceda, who's been away from the Boiling Isles for three years, finally gets to live there permanently on her 18th birthday. After compromising with her mother that she would visit and text whenever she was free. As exciting as it is, Luz feels a slimmer of nervousness. She didn't exactly give them all a proper goodbye, especially Amity, who she didn't even see the past few days before she left the Boiling Isles.
