Placed on the northern hemisphere the Sea of Ember is a world of ice and stone, a land of fire and storms. Uncanny tempests sweep across the rocky terrain, rising and spreading ashes from dozens of active volcanoes disseminated everywhere in the continent. However, during winter, sudden snowstorms, almost as lethal as the rivers of magma scorching this plagued realm, turn the land into a literal hell. That's when Lithoniel's journey begins, during the last weeks of Spring. It should have been a hunting expedition, a short trip not far from the tribe's territory. Yet, when the Nightstalker, the tribe's chief hunter, decides to bring them in an unexplored area of the Asp ridge, Lithoniel has to decide if she can be something different from the outcast she had been for all her life. But can a fledgling hunter, an outsider in her own tribe be a leader? ------FIRST DRAFT-----

A vision sparks the beginning of treachery and war, and the kingdom of Naretia is about to fall.... Olórin's adopted son, Aramus, is a creature unlike any in Naretia. He is feared by all, and holds a darkness inside that is said will end all life by his eighteenth birthday. Olórin must scour the kingdom for godly ingredients to make a potion for Aramus that will save them all. He is hoping his son's human side will prevail over the rising darkness within him, for long enough to outrun their enemies. But Aramus's real father, the dark God Dantet, desires his son's powers so he might, once again, walk on mortal soil. His legion of dark creatures follow Olórin and Aramus at every turn, trying to kill them. Dantet's army, however, is not the only one wanting Aramus dead. Something, or someone, changes fate's hand. Neither Dantet, nor Olórin, can see the terrible future that threatens them all. Even the traitors within the wizard caste are blind to what is coming. But it is coming.

The Shadowbearer is made to be a stand alone of sorts and a prelude to Etchings of Power. Etchings and the other books that follow are told from different POVs than the Shadowbearer. They are all part of the interconnected worlds of the Cyclic Omniverse that currently spans 8 books. You can start with any series in the Omniverse. Now, to the blurb: In a world where magic corrupts and kingdoms constantly war, the power that drives the world stirs. It whispers promises of greatness in the heads of the men and women that wield it. Now, it has spoken to the mind of a king. Knight Commander Stefan Dorn, leader of the Unvanquished, has known only war, death and, victory. All in the name of his loyalty to King Nerian the Lightbearer, a man he idolized. Until now. Everything he thought he knew about the King, his people, and his world is coming to an end. At a time when there should be peace, he's once again called to war. Torn between shocking changes at home, his family, loyalty to his men and his King, Stefan wishes only to enjoy life away from the battlefield. But with the new campaign comes a rabid, unforgiving enemy and a potential cataclysm. Follow him as he fights to save his family, his people, his honor, and his birthright from the grips of the shade. Can he save them all? If not, which will he choose, which will he lose? The Shadowbearer is a rousing and engaging prequel to Etchings of Power and a worthy addition to the Aegis of the Gods series. Also free on Amazon, Itunes, and Kobo.

Highest ranking in Fantasy 28. Vincent was a traveller. He had visited most of the important cities and towns in the entire Empire. He had encountered men of greatness, men of cowardice and experience had taught him well how to differentiate among them, for the latter usually chose to wear the mask of the former. He had witnessed the alchemists, the mages, the dark magicians, the masters, the mind readers, the knights. He had been fortunate enough to appreciate the play of the gladiators from the pits and the lances in tourneys. Vincent had watched men fly, tame wildest creatures, walk on water. In fact, he was of the opinion, which most would agree was well founded, that he had seen enough for a single lifetime. But what Vincent the blacksmith saw next, created a memory so deep, that others seemed to fade. An unbelievable incident occurred in the little town of Andlenore. But the consequences of that incident, were not limited to the town. The ripples spread like wildfire.

"Where is the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing? They have passed like rain on the mountains. Like wind in the meadow. The days have gone down in the west, behind the hills, into shadow. How did it come to this?" ______________________________________ ~ Don't forget to follow the board "{Between Two Worlds}" on Pinterest by searching for me (JadenSeptum)!
