Jonathan Battle, a retired war veteran in his mid-twenties, embarks on a new mission-not as a soldier, but as a superhero. After a tragic military operation, he leaves the service but remains committed to fighting injustice. In the basement of his home, he prepares to don a specially designed superhero suit, created by his friend Jane Lorrain. The suit, adorned with patriotic colors and a white star, symbolizes his new identity as Captain Battle. Jane warns him that once he takes this step, there is no turning back. She urges him to reconsider, pointing out that law enforcement and other superheroes could handle the crisis he is preparing to face. However, Jonathan is unwavering in his decision. He recalls a childhood friend, a Jewish boy who was bullied for his ethnicity, and the vow he made to stand up for those who couldn't defend themselves. That promise led him to the military, and now, it compels him to become a hero. Jonathan's mission is clear: stop a violent Neo-Nazi group that has been terrorizing the Jewish community in New York City. Armed with a jetpack and photon blasters, he sets out to protect the innocent. As he flies toward the crisis, Jane provides him with real-time updates, urging him to hurry before it's too late. This marks the beginning of Jonathan Battle's transformation into Captain Battle, a hero determined to fight for justice, protect the vulnerable, and stand against hatred

Neal and Peter discover a dark secret buried underneath Arkham that will set them on a new course. Fluff: Halloween. October 1975. Arkham Files story #3. Sequel to The Locked Room. In Arkham Files, White Collar characters are fused into the world of the Cthulhu Mythos. No prior knowledge of either White Collar or Lovecraft is required. Although Lovecraft is a master of the horror genre, in Arkham Files the emphasis is on science fiction and fantasy with a generous sprinkling of romance. First names are the same as in White Collar. Neal Caffrey is known as Neal Carter. Peter Burke is Peter Gilman. In addition to Neal and Peter, White Collar characters include Diana, Mozzie, Elizabeth, June, Sara, Jones, and Hughes. Neal and Sara are both a few years younger than their New York counterparts. The series is a meta work with the stories referenced in the Caffrey Conversation series. It's not necessary to read the Caffrey Conversation stories beforehand, but for readers who do, there is an added dimension. More information about the meta aspect is on my blog, Penna Nomen & Silbrith Conversation. Disclaimer: This story is for fun. I do not own White Collar or the world of the Cthulhu Mythos.

Just something I was thinking about and desperately wanted to write down. Heavily inspired by H.P. Lovecraft. I'm really into him recently.
