***The wrong girl is sometimes The Right One.*** Charlotte Samuels thought she'd be stuck waiting tables at Marlow's until all her debts are paid off-in about ten thousand years or so. She definitely didn't expect a marriage proposal from the arrogant Brandon Maxfield who was blackmailed by his father to make her his wife if he didn't want his least favorite cousin to run Maxfield Industries. Charlotte's instinct was to say HELL NO! but she's stumped by a few obstacles: 1.) His old man Martin Maxfield is dear to her heart and has been recently deteriorating in health. 2.) She gets a million dollars if she stays married to Brandon for a year. 3.) She would rather like the opportunity to teach the attractive but awfully rude man a few lessons he didn't think he needed from a 'teenage gold-digger' which was his term of endearment for her on their first date-er, business meeting. So what's a girl got to do, right? Sure, she's young and a little rough around the edges but there's something her would-be husband didn't know about her yet-she's nothing like he ever expected. Thrust into the glitzy world a standard-issue Mrs. Maxfield would fit perfectly and rule with impeccable social grace, Charlotte will either have to force herself into the mold or break free of it, risking what little she has left for everything that she can gain. *** Copyright © 2014 by Nina Tippett. | SAMPLE ONLY; READ IT NOW ON GALATEA | ❝He's the boy she left behind. She's the girl he let go.❞ ➵ Before she became one of music's biggest up-and-coming artists, Evelyn "Evie" Chase was a nobody at the bottom of the Roosevelt High School food chain with only a handful of friends. Her best friend (and longtime crush)--popular jock, Adam Fields--was her polar opposite, but despite their differences, their bond was as strong as they come. That is, until one day-- one mistake--changed the course of their friendship forever, and the once inseparable duo never spoke again. Fast forward three years, and everything's changed. Evie has the world at her feet, now out in L.A. living her dream as a seventeen-year-old popstar-- leaving the town, the boy who broke her heart, and those who'd made high school unbearable behind. Meanwhile, Adam--at Roosevelt finishing off senior year and still the school (and town's) beloved "golden boy"--is trying his hardest to let go of the past and the girl he let get away. And it's going well, the two of them living their separate lives. Until Evie's back. Suddenly, seventeen and senior year just got a lot more interesting.

"You grew up better than I imagined." The guy said to me and smirked. His eyes travelled the whole lenght of my body and rested on my chest, making me completely self-conscious and kind of pissed off. Sure, he was a potential helper but this wasn't a reason for him to look at me like I'm eatable. "Would you care look me in the eyes?" I asked in irritation and he seemed to be enjoying the situation. "Pleasantly." He answered in a flirtatious tone and I rolled my eyes. Then as he lifted his hand to his face and took his glasses off, my suspicions were confirmed. I immediately knew why he looked so familiar. It just took me a look in the eyes and I knew. Here in front of me was standing the greatest player Shelbyville has ever had. It was Brody Collins himself. -------- Thea Jones is a young published author and after a weird break up with her boyfriend, she decides to go back home. Between old friends and past history, she realizes everyone can change, even Brody Collins, her brother's best friend and player of town. And together, they might just figure out love can come from anywhere at any time. But would that be enough to keep them together?

[COMPLETED] WARNING: I wrote this when I was in high school, which was about seven/eight years ago. That reflects so much in the writing of this book. Best friends Ellie Nichols and Colton Davis were inseparable all their lives. They stuck by each other throughout middle school and high school, all the way until they were accepted into separate colleges. Colton was offered a full scholarship for football while Ellie wanted to stay closer to home at a smaller community college. They had promised to stay in touch, but all promises are made to be broken. They lose contact and the only way Ellie sees her best friend anymore is watching him play on t.v. But all of that changes when Ellie's counselor gives her a big surprise, a letter of acceptance to the same school where Colton plays football. But with Ellie the teams athletic trainer, will it bring her closer to her best friend, or will something come between them? #15 Teen Fiction 9/23/2015
