After the battle of Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy ran away from the death eaters and returned to Hogwarts for the eighth year. This year, Hogwarts decides to do a student exchange program between the houses. Four unfortunate students are picked from all of the eighth-year students, one from each house, and they are put into one of the other three houses for a whole month. What will happen when Harry Potter is chosen and transferred to Slytherin to share a dorm with his arch-enemy, Draco Malfoy? Warning: I have been writing this story since middle school, I'm now in highschool and about a quarter of the way through. The updates are not regular and this story will likely not be finished soon, so if you're looking for a complete story this isn't it! It is a slow burn after all. Includes: Drarry, Romione, Heterochromia! Draco, and a teensy (and I mean teensy) bit of amortentia to spice it up a little. Rivals to friends to lovers, slow burn (of course), probably won't be outright smut but there will be some tense/suggestive scenes and implied sexual scenes.

War is difficult and traumatic. People die. People sacrifice. People get back up and put themselves back together when it's over. Harry isn't putting himself back together. He's been through a lot, and he's always been able to make it to the other side, but this was just too much. Unfortunately, no matter how hard it is, Harry has to learn to heal at his own pace. There is no escaping the fact that he's participating in life (no matter how weakly at times), and cannot therefore just leave events to run him over.
