Tinaasan ni Jorjina ng isang kilay si Tres. "Ang feelingero mo naman, Tres Esquivel," mataray na sabi ng dalaga. "Hindi ako mai-in love sa 'yo dahil isa kang walking heartbreak. Isa kang malaking karengkeng at nagsusumigaw na heartbreak!" Pinakadiin-diin pa ni Jorjina ang mga huling salitang sinabi. "At hindi ako masokista para saktan ang sarili ko at kumuha ng batong ipupukpok sa ulo ko. Kaya 'yang warning mo na mai-in love ako sa 'yo ay malabong mangyari. Hindi. Mangyayari. 'Yan," mataray at confident niyang sabi habang kumukumpas-kumpas pa ang kamay niya. Ilang segundong nakatingin lang sa kanya si Tres. "Hindi ko alam kung ano ang rason sa pagtutol mo." "Because that is fucking wrong!" mariing sabi ni Jacob. "Hindi kaya dahil takot ka kay Lucas, Jacob?" Tiningnan niya ng masama si Alfred. "Kung gano'n ikaw na ang gumawa, Jacob. Make Miranda your girl in three months. At kapag hindi mo nakayang gawin, si Alfred ang gagawa." Jacob smirked. "Hindi ako katulad n'yo." "I'd be more than willing. She's pretty," sabi ni Alfred. Nagsukatan sila ng tingin ni Alfred. Alam niyang hindi nagbibiro si Alfred. He had to protect Miranda. Ilayo ito kay Alfred kahit na nariyan pa si Lucas sa tabi ni Miranda. Because he cared for her. A lot. "I'm on it," seryosong sabi ni Jacob. Hindi siya sang-ayon sa pustahan.
