The drama tells the story of Fan Changyu, a butcher's daughter, and Xie Zheng, a fallen marquis, who are fated to meet in a snowstorm. She, orphaned, is determined to become the head of her own household; he, living under an assumed name, seeks revenge for a blood feud from 17 years ago. Each with their own agenda, they enter a marriage of convenience that slowly turns into true love.
