Can is a character associated with an Alabross bird that settles in the Galapagos Islands. He is a world-famous photographer who travels to dangerous locations and a free spirit. He is rich, successful, handsome, aloof and a loner with a highly guarded heart. Sanem is a young, sheltered girl with a photographic memory, a quick wit, a wild spirit with a desire to break out of her traditional way of life. Her greatest desire is to move to the Galapagos and write her love stories. The series has taken us through every trial and obstacle imaginable. The lastest being a terrifying car crash that has left Can without his memory and Sanem alone in the epic love they shared. Now, afraid for her sanity, she is leaving Istanbul behind and going to live her dreams in the Galapagos. Will Can let her go and continue his life free of the memories they shared or does his heart call him into action regardless of what his mind can remember. Will love conquer all, after all?

The series has ended. Every week we would come together chat watching the episodes, theorize, and obsess over this amazing love story. After watching Erkenci Kus over and over cutting to the parts I love, hate, and hate to love, I decided I needed to keep this show alive somehow. I decided I would watch one episode a week in full...no skipping...watching the entire episode as if in the old days when this show was a weekly treat. The combination of knowing more Turkish and my knowledge of the rest of the show development has been making this a special experience where I have noticed more about these episodes than the first time seeing it...and the 4th and 5th time and so on. I still love talking and discussing this show with my Ablas and relive the moments together. I watch one episode a week and recap each episode posting on Sundays...I hope you enjoy it
