[BOOK 1] After a war over a century ago, there have been several laws set in place to restrain the rights of individuals with special abilities-most commonly referred to as abnormals. Marley, now forced to deal with a moody roommate and an extremely inconvenient abnormality, feels as though the world is just generally out to get him. His life is only complicated further when it becomes apparent that not only is Nero his only way out of the place, but he also has a tendency to make Marley question everything he's ever known. Marley is positive of one thing, though, and that is the fact that he needs to do anything possible to ensure his kingship- It's the only way to finally correct the world that his predecessors have wronged so cruelly.
