When the fatui set up a device at the WangShu Inn which they claim to be a teleport waypoint, Yanfei, Xiao, Zhongli, and HuTao go investigate. The teleportation device suddenly acts up and the four of them get teleported to a completely different world. There they learn about these man-eating monsters and a group of trained swordsmen, the demon slayer corps. Zhongli, Yanfei, Xiao, and HuTao are quickly recognized by the hashiras and taken out on missions to slay these creatures while trying to find a way back to their own universe.
