The Landlord is a cold, claustrophobic, sociological, supernatural, skin crawling, horror story set in a dark, futuristic, dystopian, snow bound, house on the outskirts of London during a ferocious and unusual winter. The story revolves around three main characters who are seemingly trapped in a terror inducing, suspense ridden, heartbreaking love triangle. The triangle frames the main character, a charismatic, womanising, drug taking, sex addicted, self aware, existentially confused, landlord, whose involved intimately with two young women. The first woman, a tenant, a love seeking, mystical, Russian, goth wall flower. She falls in love for the first time and is cruelly spurned. Used as a sexual convenience, devastatingly broken hearted, she spirals down into darkness and tragedy. The other woman, a tall, nerdy, innocent, bespectacled, Lithuanian ex-model the Landlord meets on-line and seduces, and who soon after realises is the love of his life, his soul mate, and the first woman he'd ever fallen in love with, a woman he could change for. The Landlord is an introspective, cynical, critique of a heartless, digitally remastered, electrically driven world and the tortured psyche of a deluded man, a human animal, influenced by his fellow animals and both driven and plagued by the demons of desire that ultimately come back to haunt him. :::: The story paints a bleak picture and has disturbing content.
