When Alvin captures Hiccup and tells him to make him a flying suit, Hiccup refuses. But how long can he stay defient in the harsh conditions that Al in forces him through. They are tests of strength and will. He has to depend on himself for strength that his people will rescue him.

This is Veldern, an island where nothing else surrounds it but other islands. Here on Veldernian soil it only gets cold, chilly and or freezing, and unless you're by a fire it's never been warm. The Vikings here could use some work, but if they didn't they wouldn't be Viking. Before dragons, Vikings here had stubbornness issues, what am I talking about, we still do, but now that we have the United races to look forward to, not one Viking has refused a job to prepare.
