Poetry brings forth human emotions like nothing else, as words spring forth from the deepest feelings of the heart. If there ever was a book from ancient poetry that has touched human lives, nothing stands next to the Psalms. Having its origins in the ancient language of Hebrew, it still continues to delight and comfort it's readers in the post-modern era. For those of us who cannot understand Hebrew, it helps to read them in a language that we know. However, the division of each of these songs into verses have taken away a sheen from it's richness.
