"Beep......" the monotone. Nishinoya helplessly watches as his brother's life support is removed. He prayed for years, years. Why didn't God listen to his prayers? Why could God not bring his brother back? He punches the hospital wall and stomps out, tears evident in his eyes. The church and their "God loves you". All lies. He steps outside. "Nishinoya?" He turns around, and sees a man with a goatee. "What happened?" Nishinoya doesn't care, he runs and burries his face in his senpai's broad chest. "Asahi why? Why? Why must God do this to me?"

Asahi Azumane has lost all interest in volleyball after being blocked on too many times. Nishinoya, unable to see his best friend, becomes depressed. After various events, Asahi is thinking about re-joining the team. Will he?

Noya gets injured, which finally gives Asahi an excuse to take care of him instead of the other way around. However, with Noya constantly leaning on him for support and touching him (always freaking touching him), Asahi is having a harder and harder time keeping his feelings for Noya in check. (In which Noya sprains his ankle, Asahi sucks at flirting, and Suga is probably not the best person to ask for romantic advice.)

Asahi has a bad home life and becomes depressed. Nishinoya finds out and tries to help him. Angst/Fluff

Haikyuu!! (eventual Azumane Asahi/Nishinoya Yuu) A team's oblivion, a team's regret, and a libero who isn't as cheerful as he looks. In which Noya's family situation comes to light like a slap in the face when he is brought to the hospital in the unholy hours of the morning and Karasuno's Boys Volleyball Club might just fall apart because of it. Also, Asahi is a giant gay ball of stress, Noya cries, Kenma tries, and Tanaka is a genuinely good friend.
