We all go through a phase sweet short love story of our own version. It may be an unrequited one, happy ending type or a lost cause one. All dream of happy ending but everyone isn't so lucky. According to me unrequited ones are the most hurting ones. You don't even get to be close with the person you pine for. You try to be everything the person demands a friend, a confidant anything if you are asked to leave you even have to do that. Lost cause ones are terrible too. In simpler words they are break-ups. But break up is such an adolescent term. Love sometimes isn't strong enough to overcome the challenges of a relationship. Love is easier than trust. Trust becomes harder as we mature. Relationships become real as we mature. This poem was published under Idle Thoughts. Since it is also a submission to the Malaal writing contest, this had been published again as a standalone poem. #799 in memories😊
