A short one-shot about Leo Valdez. Leo's lying in his cabin, somewhat depressed and beating himself up over his mom's death and more recent events in the Mark of Athena. Percy comes in to cheer him up.

Leo first heard of the term gender fluid when one of her foster families was letting her use their computer. It was in the search history, most likely from their biological child. Leo, ever so ready to connect with the older "sibling" read about it. He realized at that moment, why he hurt sometimes, why she felt uncomfortable in her skin on certain days, and why they sometimes felt in between the two. Suddenly, time skip, Leo's on a ship trying to save the world. And today is the worst day yet.

Leo really liked pretty things. He liked glitters and sparkles, stars and constellations, and he liked frilly dresses and nail polish. However, from a young age, he learned that boys couldn't like pretty things. And that they couldn't like what he liked. So naturally, he "didn't like" flowers, or even certain colors. That was until one day, in secret, he gave into all the pretty things. Too bad Nico was there. . . But he's pretty too. At least, that what Leo thinks. And Leo (secretly) likes pretty things.
