This is NOT the story of James Potter falling in love with Lily Evans, eventually creating Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived. This is also not the story of how 4 young boys came together to create the best band of mischief-makers. This story has a slightly... different plotline. Delphinus Walburga Black, the older twin of Sirius Black. Heading to Hogwarts, Sirius and Delphinus Black are resigned to the fate of becoming a Slytherin like the rest of their family. What they don't expect is the Sorting Hat sorting them into Gryffindor, the rival House of the Slytherins. Practically disowned by their family, the Black twins befriend James Potter, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Lily Evans, Molly Prewett, and so many more. Right from the moment that she laid eyes on him, Delphinus Black is not interested in being in a relationship at the moment, thank you very much. She's just gotten her parents to hold off on planning her marriage to another pureblood. She's just barely started Hogwarts, for Merlin's sake! James Potter, on the other hand, was entranced by Delphi from the moment he saw her. When they've become part of a five-part best friendship, James couldn't be more delighted. He is quite blatant with his feelings towards Delphi, but Delphi only thinks that he's messing with her. Remus, Sirius, and Peter are stuck in the middle trying to figure out how to sort the whole mess out. Delphinus is one of the original members of the Marauders, the five-some group of friends that include Moony, Wormtail, Prongs, Padfoot, and Doe (Sorry, I wanted Delphinus to be the one to match Potter). I never really was made to be in Abnegation. I didn't ever fit in. All of the selflessness - I just couldn't do it. I couldn't forget myself in a matter of seconds then turn to another in need.
