I personally find Dong Hua in TMOPB to be nearly irredeemable, but I am going to take whatever qualities he does have: self-sacrifice, curiosity, intellect, mischievousness, and obvious love of our favorite fox and give him back some of that fighting spirit and actual heart he seems to have abandoned in his retirement. I'd like to abandon the TMOPB writers at the Gates of Heaven with a quick goodbye myself for all that they put Dong Hua and Feng Jiu through.
