My heart pounded as I rushed down the hall. My brother finally did it, he finally lost it. I heard shots fire in the cafeteria, I flinched. This isn’t happening, I told myself. I heard someone’s heavy breathing from behind a shelf that stuck out of the wall. “Come on ash we have to go!” I said clamping onto the blonde boy’s hand. I pulled him up and dragged him along. “ALEEAH!” A voice boomed. No, no, no, this isn’t happening. I turned to face my brother whose hand held a jet black gun, his arms raised, gun pointing at me, ready to fire. The gun sounded.

Along with her new step brother, Michael, and her kick-ass friend Sheila, Lauren feels on top of the world and finds herself dreading summer's (or in her case, winter) end. And then there's Ashton. I don't recommend this story for anyone under the age of 13!!!! It's pretty decent, so I hope you enjoy!
