I knew the moment I first kissed him, that he would condemn me, that I would drag myself through broken glass for him. I just was not sure if he would stay long enough to pull the jagged pieces out. I never imagined that instead, he would push the shards deeper. Deep down I knew it was useless, that there was no way I could change his mind, but at the very least I had to try. A Russian fugitive with power like no other. Though strong, powerful, and wickedly smart, secrets lie deep within her heart, mind, and soul, haunting her to this day. Those very secrets will chase her until they catch up to her. She may have thought that she left that life behind when she escaped Russia, but she will soon find that her past lingers just behind her, hiding in the shadows. A boy with veins as green as the serpents he has the power to speak to and a plan to become the darkest wizard of all time. Though handsome, charming, powerful, and annoyingly clever, he has a weakness. A weakness in the form of a petite Slavic girl with a talent for wagging her tongue and getting under his scaly skin. A weakness that he denies every moment and tries to be rid of every second. A match like this can result in only one thing. Pain.
