A short one shot and continuation of the story by Elizabeth Gaskell. This is my first time writing fanfiction after years of reading it. I might continue writing this story since I'm very interested in what M and J's life in Miton will be like :)

Different take on North and South. It starts when Mr. Thornton leaves Margaret after his disaster of proposal. She acidently falls and loses her memory of the proposal and the day of the riot. Will that be his chance to make it right this time?

If you loved the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's "North and South," then this sequel is for you. "Becoming Mrs. Thornton" picks up Margaret Hale's story from the moment of her engagement. We watch her adjust to life as John Thornton's wife (yay!) and Hannah Thornton's daughter-in-law (not so yay!).

The shock of sudden death of Mr. Hale crushes Mr. Bell, rendering him unable to bring the sad news to Margaret himself. He is forced to delegate the terrible duty to the only one he can entrust it: his friend and tenant Mr. Thornton.

I love both the book and miniseries North & South, and it has inspired me to finally start writing, with a sequel. It starts at the last scene in the movie, a scene I have probably watched hundreds of times, and mostly draws from the miniseries rather than the book Enjoy, and please comment..I'm interested to know what you think!
