This is somewhat based on something that happened to someone I know. Of course, I have tweaked a few things here and there, added some and deleted some to fit a script...

She had never expected to see him again. Like ever.
After having lived a life with complete pity and a schooling that screamed pathetic, she had undergone a transformation. To become stronger, to face life with everything she's got, but plans like those only last till the hurt, the pain come swirling back to knee you deep in the gut.
He comes back into her life, smooth, uncaring, casual, as if he doesn't remember her or the things he did. But when one thing piles up against another, he sees the truth, he is sorry, but maybe it is...just too late for forgiveness.
It is his retribution.
It is her hope versus her pain.
It is his need for forgiveness and his guilt.
It is her choice to fall in deep or get swept with the tide.
And when they have exhausted all they have, they have fought it all out, will she deny her feelings or will she accept fate and believe that if it's meant to be, it will be?
Mother Teresa - "If you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love."
