The ruthless Jarl of the rumored cold-blooded Dahlsten clan. A young maiden of the southern Haraldsson clan. Two individuals from very different worlds. One night that interlocked their paths forever. Highest Ranking: #1 in Historical Fiction This story will include MATURE content, as it contains sexual scenes, possible trigger scenes and cursing in Norwegian. It is recommended for an older crowd 17+. It is not your typical Viking story, sorry kiddies. This is my first chapter story, so it will not be perfect! Consider yourself warned. Beautiful cover made by @LarissaChesser **TSVB is on temporary hold due to author's hectic life, please be considerate in comments. Thank you!

Roxana kept her head bowed as Alexander stepped towards the captives of war, sweeping his cloak behind him. He passed by all of the women with the indifference and sobriety that rivalled their fairness and beauty. "The Bactrian women are eyesores," His deep, passionate voice ran out, earning the chuckles of his generals. That was when she realized that a pair of feet in leather soles had stopped before her. Slowly, she looked up. She saw a pair of metal greaves on strong, sturdy legs. She saw a kilt and scaled armour securely tied off at the shoulders. On the centre of his chest was engraved a sun with a face drawn on it. Then she focussed her eyes on his chiselled jawline, then at his arrogant mouth, and then his mismatched but clear brown and blue eyes. Roxana's eyes widened. This was the greatest commander ever known on earth, the one who massacred thousands of citizens who revolted against him in Thebes, the one who had burned down the palace complex of Persepolis in one night, and the one who never lost a battle in his life. She wanted to look away from his intense gaze. But she lifted her chin a little higher and boldly locked her gaze with his. "What is your name?" He asked, his expression stone cold. She felt his hand touch a lock of her long, dark brown mane. His gaze bore into her eyes so piercingly that she decided to cast her head to the side. "Roxana, my lord." She replied. "Who is your father?" "Oxyartes, mighty warlord and nobleman of Sogdia." "Ah, Oxyartes. I know him. I know him very well," He smiled. Then he bent down so that the tips of their noses were almost touching. She could feel his warm breath which turned into mist in the freezing winter air. Roxana shivered. "Tell your father that I have come," He whispered, "And that his people are now my people."

"YOU FOOLISH GIRL, NOT EVEN YOUR STORIES CAN SAVE YOUR BEAUTIFUL THROAT." Khai killed 1000 girls before he got to her. And he would make sure she would die like the others. His beautiful hands demand blood on them. Mazeeda would make sure that she'll be the last girl Khai would ever kill. Her beautiful neck will not be touched by a blood-coated blade. She will take her friends place. If Mazeeda cannot save her own life with trained hands, she will do it with her quick mind and sly mouth. During the night, she weaves stories never told before to Khai; in the morning, she roams the palace to escape. With each tale she tells, the more she realizes these aren't just stories; but something much greater. Something that Khai is keeping from her, things he does not want to be let out. Somewhere a 1000 miles across the sand kept land, three brothers are plotting something that'll end the reign of the monster and save their sister.

TW Sexual assault Domestic violence Highest Ranking: #4 in Betrothed. #7 in Viking "I told you not to move," the brute said as he turned back to her. His face was blazing as he took her in. She had disobeyed his order. The brute took several long strides before kneeling beside her. Aila tried to bat away his hands as they reached for her. He wrapped one fist around both of her wrists to stop her from hitting him. "Nay!" He demanded. Another figure moved closer. A brute with short black hair and harsh jawbones. He was broad shouldered- not quite as burly as the first man- and muscular. He wore similar clothes but of darker colors. "She is a pretty one," he said with a devilish smile that didn't quite meet his eyes. He walked through the grass, his boots thudding loudly. "You planning to share?" "Nay!" The brute holding her said with such force. She shuddered at the authority he used. "She is mine!" "No," she protested with a hoarse voice.

My debut historical romance transports readers to 12th century Sweden, where a powerful Viking lord will discover a fierce heart cannot be taken by mere force. Lida was married to the love of her life for just two months when she became a widow. Pregnant and disowned by her late husband’s family for suspected infidelity, she was forced to return to her family in shame. Eight years later, uninterested in the prospect of finding another husband, she finds herself the unwilling object of a marriage contract with a powerful warlord. In a day, she is wed, bed, and put on a ship headed for Tronscar; an unknown icy stone and steel fortress. Jarl Magnus is pleased to have taken a strong wife who, however stubborn she may be, will surely produce sons. However, he is less pleased with his wife’s additional baggage—a young daughter. But despite himself, Magnus falls for the daughter just as hard as the mother, and Lida’s heart is warmed to see the cold, serious Jarl move surprisingly fast into the role of stepfather. When enemies attack Tronscar, Jarl Magnus’s nerves of steel waver, as the warrior fears his love for Lida will weaken him. But when his family is threatened, he’ll go to war to protect them, discovering along the way that they have the strength to protect themselves.
