Okay yeah, putting it that way the decision seems kind of obvious. Ah well. It's not like he had anything better to do. Leading a squad of hot women sounds like a fun time. Humanity once stood on the top of the world. They ruled the planet with an iron grip. Their rise in technology, industry, engineering, and science were quickly growing. However, an invasion on a worldwide scale had occurred in late 2023. Though there were initial successes in repelling these unknown, mechanical entities. They would eventually start to gain ground through quick adoption of newer variants of their beings and adjusting to counter common military tactics. However, more was needed, so came the introduction of Nikkes, an experimental female soldier that would be the first cybernetic frontline soldier. Even though there were attempts of converting males to such a task, they would become unsuccessful, as it was found out that males were more susceptible to cognitive dissonance and suicide. And so, females ranging from 18 to 30 years of age would remain the main source of Nikkes. As the war raged on, more variants of Nikkes would reinforce or replace the quickly diminishing forces of the world. There would be a significant breakthrough in the Nikkes, with the introduction of the Grimm models of Nikkes. Five Nikkes would be produced by a now defunct company. This squad would be called Goddess. They would be commanded by a special forces Captain Nicholas Miller, and through their first missions, they would further prove the effectiveness of specialized Nikkes and even push the Raptures back some. However, even their efforts would not be enough to stop the tithe of Raptures from encompassing Europe. After many years of fighting, there was one last desperate defense of a structure known as the Ark. Unfortunately, humanity would end up underground where they would spend the next 5 centuries fighting the raptures in smaller scale battles, skirmishes, and special operations. All while the fates of Goddess squad and the now legendary Captain Nicholas Miller had remained a mystery.

Belle - the other half of Phaethon - was simply minding her own business, checking stock levels and organizing the shop (with Wise forcing her to do it, of course). Everything was routine - until, out of nowhere, she and her brother were suddenly transported into a mysterious theater. Around them were people she recognized: some famous, some familiar, and others she knew little about. Just as confusion began to spiral into chaos, a kind yet mischievous old man appeared before them. With a cryptic smile, he explained that they had all been gathered to witness events that would soon shape the future - events that held great importance not only to their world, but especially concerning the enigmatic being known as the Fox of Apocalypse.
