WARNING RQ4 SPOILERS INCLUDED: This story is a continuation of the "Red Queen" series by Victoria Aveyard with a twist I feel all devoted readers to this amazing series wanted secretly all along. Especially mareven shippers, which I am not, but I still did crave the relationship Cal and Mare had with Maven in the first book (generally throughout the series too). What if Maven didn't die? What if he could be fixed? What if all could be different? After finishing "War Storm" the simple phrase "Maven is dead." unsettled me, I do believe his death was necessary but it needed more. This motivated me to discover the other possible futures Jon kept to himself, one being the Real Maven after such tragedy which I am now motivated to create and explore!

An alternate ending where Cal hasn't managed to rescue Mare from Maven yet and Maven is becoming more sadistic and cruel, with a growing deep obsession for Mare.
