This piece of creative nonfiction was written for a contest way back when as an undergraduate student in university. It was inspired by a required reading for a course, which the title has long been lost in the void of memory, but the story is all from various events through the years of my life. It will be uploaded vignette by vignette.

In the middle of the action, I was once again lost. In the middle of the action, you were no longer there. In the middle of the action, they'll watch as the tears stream down this empty face. I miss you. But missing you isn't enough anymore. You'll never be there.

This is a letter designed for those who would like to be anti-racist but don't have the mental capacity or energy left to spare. If you know someone who is being racist and would like to tell them to stop, show them this. I cover basically everything I can to explain racism and why it needs to stop in America.
