Years have passed since Joseph experienced the death of his friend, Caesar Zeppeli. It's been years and he was used to not having him at his side anymore. That's where he's wrong. Caesar Zeppeli never left his side. He guides him, somewhat like a guardian angel. He gave the last of his hamon to him and Caesar is going to make sure that he lives a long happy life. There's also regret in him for leaving him physically. Watching Jojo grieve for him made his heart shatter. Caesar knew he did the right thing, but the consequences suffered. He made sure that he would be his partner who won't leave his side ever again.
