A swan is viewed as many things: beautiful, pure, graceful... But in Odette's eyes, a swan is something much different. A swan is a curse, one she herself must suffer through each day. And while the stories say every curse can be broken, Odette finds it hard to believe she has a chance to do so. And even as she tries to find one, to find a way to break the curse placed on her, there are many things standing in her way. A vast world of obstacles, but perhaps the most dangerous of all a Dark Curse. One intended to transport her and everyone else to a world without magic. However, perhaps the Dark Curse is exactly what Odette needs for all the things to fall into place, for her own curse to finally be lifted and her happily ever after to become more than just a dream. ---------- [Killian Jones x OC] [Once Upon a Time - Seasons 2 & 3] [First book in the Swan Lake Tales series] [Started: 11/09/21 - Finished: 04/09/23] ----- Spanish translation written by: @Elenazazueta18

"Everything was impossible once-until someone went and did it." Camilla has spent most of her life tucked away at an old English boarding school, where dusty hallways, stern teachers, and a suspiciously cranky caretaker are all part of the charm. She thought she knew every secret the school had to offer-until now. First, a new American girl, Nina, arrives under mysterious circumstances. Second, Joy-Camilla's friend and fellow student-suddenly disappears without a trace. Third, Victor, the school's resident terror (and possibly part-time vampire), seems weirdly more obsessed with his creepy stuffed crow than usual. Camilla's half-convinced a wedding announcement is imminent. And fourth-the ancient rumors about the attic being haunted? Yeah... those are starting to feel less like stories and more like a giant flashing warning sign. When strange messages and hidden clues begin popping up around the school, Camilla is pulled into a secret group called the Sibunas, determined to uncover the truth. Together, they race against time to solve puzzles buried deep within the school's history, uncover long-lost secrets, and find out what really happened to Joy. But the deeper they dig, the more dangerous things become. The attic holds more than just whispers and dust-and some secrets are desperate to stay buried. Magic, mystery, and mayhem collide in a race that will change Camilla's life forever... assuming she survives long enough to see what's at the end of the trail. #1 in Throwback 15/02/2025 If you enjoyed this story, don't forget to check out the rest of the series. #1 in throwback - 24/02/2025 *Cover by SarahRCubitt13 *Disclaimer: I do not own House of Anubis. Endgame (noun): the final stage of a game when only a few pieces remain. A new year at Anubis House means new secrets, new dangers-and some familiar faces missing. With Nina Martin staying behind in America, Camilla-Anne Rutter figures life might finally slow down. (As if.) Instead, she and Eddie start sharing visions: a dying man, a strange key, and a warning tied to new girl KT. Whatever's coming, it's dragging them all straight into another deadly mystery-and Camilla's not about to let her Osirian face it alone. As clues start stacking up, so do the red flags. Miss Denby, the new teacher, spends way too much time whispering with Victor and Mr. Sweet. (Because sure, that's totally normal. Maybe they're planning an opera-themed bake sale?) Camilla knows better: something bigger-and darker-is moving just beneath the surface. But nothing can prepare her for the truth about her own magic. The family obsession with Egypt isn't just a harmless quirk; it's a legacy, ancient and powerful, and Camilla's destiny is far more tangled with the past than she ever imagined. The final moves have begun. Loyalties will be tested, powers unleashed, and the secrets of Anubis House may finally come to light. Ready or not, it's endgame-and this time, not everyone will get out unscathed. Unsteady (adjective): moving, changing, or not firmly fixed. A new school year has begun at Anubis House, and Camilla-Anne Rutter was foolish enough to think things might finally calm down. Spoiler alert: they don't. The Sibunas are back on the hunt, this time chasing after the real Mask of Anubis-a relic surrounded by ancient myths, deadly secrets, and more puzzles than Camilla cares to solve before breakfast. Meanwhile, Camilla is grappling with a different challenge altogether: learning what it truly means to be the Protector of Isis, a title that's a lot heavier-and a lot more dangerous-than she ever imagined. Of course, it wouldn't be Anubis House without the usual chaos swirling around them. A mysterious new boy arrives with secrets of his own. Jerome's scheming reaches impressive new heights. And, naturally, the housemates' relationships are falling apart (and back together) faster than anyone can keep track. Between ancient artifacts, secret societies, and endless drama, Camilla realizes "unsteady" doesn't even begin to cover it. This year, loyalties will be tested, hidden enemies will rise, and the walls of Anubis House may not keep them safe for much longer. Mystery, betrayal, and a little bit of madness are waiting just around the corner-and Camilla and the Sibunas will have to stick together if they want to survive it. "Jack was like a Chinese finger trap most of the time, you had to carry on playing, delve a little further and accept your fate before you were able to pry yourself away." Jack/ OC reader pairing, following the course of the movies with mini-inserts and created scenes. It's kind of a slow burn, with smut in later chapters. *marked mature for these chapters. I do not own Pirates of the Caribbean, any of the characters or the places mentioned in this story.

**Currently under editing** Much as Senator Padme used a decoy during her reign, Princess Leia also had someone she kept close by her: Josephine Gavana, but she preferred Jo. She swore to protect the Princess at all costs, knowing that Leia would one day rule the Rebellion. Her mission may be difficult, but both her friendship to the princess and her loyalty to the cause made her sacrifice easy. She never had a reason to want anything else other than to serve Princess Leia, that is... until she met Han Solo. It was because of him that she craved a life of freedom, a life where her choices were her own to make. Never so desperately had Jo wished to be just Jo.
