In an alternate ending of the Hands of Time, Kai and Nya get thrust into the future after facing the Time Twins, where they must seek the help of the future Ninja of Ninjago as well as the future versions of their teammates to get home. New house, new beginnings...at least, that's what they say. But how can you start afresh when the past still lingers? Seeing things, talking to air...that's not nothing...and it definitely wasn't something the Walker-Smiths signed up for. If walls could talk, they'd tell horrible, beautiful tales.

Nya is tired of her provincial life, working day and night as a blacksmith alongside her brother, itching to explore the world around her and show off her inventions. Elementals were always fear in Ninjago. They're very rare to find, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. They cause destruction with not only their actions, but their feelings too. But everything started to fall apart when they started attacking the cities. That's when something had to be done. Cliff Gordon created one of the most secured facility in all of Ninjago. There was where elementals were held captive protecting them from others and themselves. It was all peaceful from there until the founder's son came into town. Jay Gordon was wanting to become just like his father, to be cruel and create justice for humanity. To start that he would have to start working in the 'lower area' of the facility were the most dangerous elementals stayed to await their deaths. It was all fine until Jay met the most dangerous elemental, which stole his heart the second he laid eyes on her. Mysteries became to unfold as secrets began to unwrap from their hiding places. Will the two live a life away from the facility, or will they await their fates?
