The man stood beneath the trees-cloaked in black, the same mask covering half his face. But those eyes... dark, burning, unmistakable.
"Yibo," Zhan whispered, like saying a prayer.
Neither moved for a long moment. Then, all at once, he ran. The world blurred, wind and trees and time folding away. He slammed into Yibo's chest, arms wrapping tight, as if to anchor himself to something real.
"I waited," Zhan choked. "I never stopped waiting."
Yibo's mask hit the ground. His arms circled Zhan, trembling. "I never stopped loving you."
