He comes off as creepy sometimes because of this. And he's very forward. Kokichi Ouma is your typical everyday shy cute boy who can't amount to anything. Or so he'd have you think. He lies, but isn't proud of it. Of course he is shy and quiet, definitely. He is just a bit messed up inside. He also sometimes just doesn't give a shit about stuff, but puts on a persona anyway. ------ Shuichi is hired by former bullies of Kokichi Ouma to find out about him noe that he's homeschooled. Turns out, he ends up going back to Starshine academy and things take a turn for the worse.
