Kara Zor El and Barry Allen were from two different universes. Before Barry was struck by lightning, he actually lived on Earth-3. It was the lightning that brought him to Earth-1. As children, Kara and Barry went to schools that were very close and even summer camps. Somehow they managed to become very close friends. They shared most of their darkest fears, and secrets. That was until Kara ended things. Barry, wanted it. He wanted Kara. More than Iris. More than anyone. He wanted to get back to what he called "Kara's World" Somehow he did it. But when he got there, she had closed off even more. The Kara Danvers he once knew wasn't herself. Then Barry heard about Supergirl. He decided to make his best impression. But that didn't go to well either as at the mention of his real name, she flew away. Barry and Kara had went their separate ways. Never to see each other again. Yeah about that.... This story starts pre-season 1 of the flash but barely before since its starting at arrows "the scientist" episode. It follows Barry and Kara on their journey to become the heroes we all know (Flash and Supergirl). And then they meet. Or their hero sides meet I guess. When Barry accidentally goes to Kara's earth and needs help getting home. Starting with that we begin to diverge from cannon. Loosely connected to my other superflash/glee fic "The past" But not 100% because time travel also I suck at connecting stories completely Uh hope you enjoy:) Also superflash is going to be the endgame ship it just isn't going to happen at first but the ship part is probably not gonna be...great? Because I'm bad at that and all More flash-centric just because I have more knowledge of that show and watch it more than Supergirl.

Mon-El left and came back with a wife. Iris left him for someone else. Barry and Kara seek comfort in each and find something more.
