15 year old soon to be 16 year old Maya E Johnson a straight A student at William Ray high school, one of the worst schools in the neighborhood. But that don't stop her from having a dream of going to college and becoming a surgeon, that was always her dream every since she was 8 and watched "The Good Doctor". She goes to school, work, then home and complete her homework. Partying, smoking, boys and drinking is not her thing. School, and homework is all that's on her mind, until she runs into a certain someone. Will that change her state of mind? Will she be naive and fall for the schemes or will she be strong enough and stand her ground?

A promise. It seems like the simplest thing in the world to keep. But so often, they're broken, empty and hollow. They seem like the easiest thing in the world to believe, but after the words are left out to bleed, after they leave you waiting and wanting, after all the emptiness and hollow words-how are you going to believe the one who actually say what they mean?
