Children were beginning to go missing and strange monsters has begun to appear from seemingly nowhere, everyone decided to ignore it but eventually it got so bad that they couldn't ignore it. A portal of sorts began to open wider and wider until the whole town was engulfed in a weird substance that could only be described as otherworldly. Almost all of the town died in this tragic event but there were survivors, a small group of children, teens and adults had all worked as a team and managed to escape from this weird alternate dimension. They made a pact to never speak of what happened in Eastcliff, packed their bags and moved to the town of Hawkins, Indiana where nothing bad could happen, or so they thought. When the same thing that happened to Eastcliff begins happening to Hawkins this group of survivors must team up with a few citizens of Hawkins and a superpowered girl named Eleven to stop their new home from being destroyed just like Eastcliff was.
