After Kagome returns from the modern era Inuyasha seems strange (that is when she sees him). What Kagome doesn't know is that demons go through mating season once they truly find their true love. However due to Inuyasha being half demon when mating season occurs his demon side is more active. It has been 3 years since the bone eaters well disappeared. Kagome can finally come back. Kagome and Inuyasha are reunited. They will have other journeys to go through. Will they stay together or split up.

Rin is starting to have feelings for Sesshomaru but she doesn't know what any of it means. Sesshomaru is starting to have feelings for Rin but he doesn't understand why. Also in this book Rin is about seventeen.
