"WHEN FIRE MEETS FATE" Princess Daiyin of the Fire Nation has been chosen to train the new Avatar in her fire bending skills. The rather practical, sometimes emotionless princess travels with Korra to Republic City, where things start to get interesting with both the Avatar and her own family dynamic.

The Fire Nation has been in a period of peace for years. Benevolent leaders have risen, rulers who care more about the people than their own interests, and the country has managed to become the most stable nation in only a short amount of time. The benevolent rulers and those who used to place themselves over their people, however, have something in common; they are family. Kaida, granddaughter of former Fire Lord Zuko, daughter of Fire Lord Izumi, is the next Fire Lord in line. Her people come first and she wants the best for her nation, but doubt creeps in the corners of her mind, fuelled by her own thoughts and her abilities, twisting her mind into watching a future where she rules, one where Dragonfire and ash is all that remains. In a trip to Republic City, she finds out in the end, her worst enemy is herself. "This is a waste of time," Korra exclaimed. "We could be looking for him right now." "Trust me, there are people doing that," Lin said. "Now, Su, take a seat." We were all clear. Mako, Suyin, Asami, Bolin, Lin . . . And then it was Aimi's turn. She sat down, looking startled. She wiped her clammy hands on her shirt. She was nervous like that; I understood. "Where were you last night?" Aiwei asked. "I was fighting against the Red Lotus members, like everyone else." Aiwei's eyes narrowed. He leaned closer. "Did you tell Zaheer of the Avatar's whereabouts?" "No, I didn't," she said. "Did you give the Avatar's whereabouts away?" Aiwei repeated. "No!" Aimi yelled, her eyes bright with fury. "I just got here!" "She's lying," Aiwei stood up.  I shook my head, furrowing my eyebrows. Aimi? She couldn't have. She never had the time . . . Suyin's mouth fell open in shock. "How could you do this to us?" "I didn't!" She stood up. "I swear I didn't." Suyin walked up to her. "You stayed here. You became friends with my daughter, and then gave away the Avatar? For what?"
