No one really knows what Damaine is. He moves like something half-forgotten, a presence that lingers just beyond reach. He appears in the abyss of shadows, where the woods seem deeper than they should be. People speak of him in hushed tones, some calling him a ghost, others a trick of the mind. However, Dragolina has seen him too many times for it to be coincidence. Their paths cross in ways that feel almost deliberate, though neither of them ever acknowledges it. He never speaks first. She never asks why he is always there. Despite the silence between them, something unspoken stirs, something neither of them fully understands. The forest has its own secrets, and whatever holds Damaine in its grasp is not ready to let him go. ONC2025- prompt19
